Fantastic cold brew coffee which tasted unlike any other cold brew I've had before. In the best possible way of course! Boozy and raisiny, delicious. The loaded crumpets are genius! We had the cashew cream and Za'atar, and chocolate, olive oil and sea salt. Both were delicious.

Fantastic cafe serving delicious food! We absolutely loved the focaccia as well as the mini cakes! The whipped ricotta & honey crumpets- wow something so different and scrumptious! Would certainly recommend this cafe.

We stopped at Ope for lunch - they had a mushroom, tahini and pickled chilli sandwich, the focaccia was freshly made by them and wonderfully decadent - and the mushrooms were out of this world amazing!

Popped into The Almond Thief on a whim whilst looking for lunch after a trip to the Barbican. The place was bustling and we were lucky to get a table. The food was delicious and the drinks were very refreshing. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Picked up a pastry to take home which was also lovely. Really nice people, good atmosphere and great food!

Just had the most dropdead gorgeous crumpets at Ope - excellent coffee to match and nice buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Amazing little bakery! Great assortment of fresh pastries and basic hot and cold bevs. Would especially recommend the pastel de nata, heard amazing things about it and it definitely lived up to the hype. Pastries range from around £3-4 each. The place is only open for 3 days a week and is pretty popular, so you might not get seating inside but there’s a bunch of seats outside so not to worry!

The bakery is fatal if you're on a diet. It's fresh produce and because of demand can sometimes run low. Get in quick to secure a delicious loaf or pastry.
Max is lovely, looks like he turned up to work on a skateboard, but that boy makes a mean sandwich.........doesn't remember my name, which stings a bit although he always remembers what my usual is.
You can't help but like him.- Service

Unfortunately they don’t do the ‘almond thief’ pastries anymore as the bakery has closed down and rebranded to ‘Ope’ which is more cafe vibes than pastries. Though they do have a small selection of cakes/sweet treats.- Service

How have I missed this place? Went to check it out, but this little place was packed and people were resorting to eating outside despite the cold weather. Grabbed bread and a pain au chocolat to go. Will be back, hopefully at a time when I can sit down, have a coffee and try more bakery! All their goods looked very tempting.

I died and went to sandwich heaven. The best sandwich (salame, cheese, chilli relish on focaccia) I’ve ever eaten, ordered a 2nd just to make sure. Coffee, cake, cookie and crumpet also top notch. If I didn’t live in Australia, I’d be here all the time.
Lovely little bakery tucked in the corner of Buckwell street. It’s a hidden gem. Be sure not to miss it! Coffee delicious, as well as their range of pastries. I had the bay & orange bun, it was gorgeous. We will certainly be back!
Absolutely stunning. Buzzing, packed with people in a joyful way, and incredibly fresh and interesting flavors.
